Yes. From version 7.4 of SeeTest You can have full control on the iOS 7 device including the SpringBoard and Settings (and not only on instrumented apps as it was before).

In order to have full control you need to configure SeeTest with a developer profile that the device is listed on. Please see here:

"After the configuration of the developer account is complete, the functionality of accessing non-instrumented pages on iOS7 will be available. "

What can I see ? I have imported the iOS Dev Sign Conf...
nothing happen ...

Is that mean we can do testing a non-instrumented apps using image or OCR ? Can we see the object ?

Thanks

It means that you will be able to control any aspect of the device.
To go to the springboard, configure the device's settings and so on.

On the current version 7.5, identifying elements on non-instrumented areas will require image/text recognition.

On the next version, we will provide object recognition for the same.

No difference in UI.
Just the ability to go to the Spring Board.
(Can be verified by clicking on the home button)

On the next release - 7.6 We will introduce a menu on the SeeTest UI that will let you decide if to open the instrument application or to use non-instrumented capabilities.

Hi ,

How to find out the application both (Browser and native app)'s page is instrumented or not by using code, Because i have settled InstrumentApp=true in Capabilities, It is working fine. But some pages are taking too much time to change its view to instrumented=true mode, So i have to make my appium driver to wait for that much time before i try to Find a Element.

Can you plz tell me how to get know the current running page is whether instrumented or not by using any command or code??????????

Thanks in advance!
Elango

Hi,

It is recommended that always you set this property instrumentApp, true as a part of your desired capabilities.
https://docs.experitest.com/display/public/TD/Application+Setup

The easiest way to check if the page available on the device reflection is to click on the object spy and differentiate it using the colors.

Hi,

How can I set instrumented/non-instrumented mode if I use Junit4/Webdriver? Is there a way to provide desired capabilities?

Hi,

When working with SeeTestAutomation, you don't have to switch the modes and the tool by itself takes the dump from the device and identify the elements.

If you are working with AppiumStudio, please post it on the appium forum -> http://appium.experitest.com
